Hey there.
Damn evil AOL and your employer apparently does not wish us to discuss Lap Bands. I thought only Google scanned your emails. I guess not.
Plateau- yup. unless I can find a way to devote the number of hours I did in 1986, I will at best MAINTAIN my weight, it is nigh impossible to lose much. Even when riding season starts it will be frustrating. On Tuesday nights we ride and go for pizza or all you can eat spaghetti. I ALWAYS get just a salad. I can't tell you how aggravating it is to sit next to some skinny guy eating three bowls of spaghetti and meatballs and I eat rabbit food.
The first few months of 2006 have been one of no weight gain, but after losing 12 pounds in December/January, I've not been able to lose much more. Nearly every third meal is a salad. I've given up drinking. Exercise bike in the basement has me on it many nights. Sitcoms and "24" are especially useful for basement bike riding.
As with Bubba, there is just not enough time to devote to a change like I did in 86. Being unemployed out of college allowed me the time to do all that exercise. Working 50 hours a week, well, there's just not the time to devote to it.
